The Future of UFC
Well UFC 100 is this week and Im pumped for it. The future for ufc looks really good considering its still banned in some of the biggest cities. On top of that you have a flood of mma gyms spawning up everywhere which will only mean that the talent pool is gonna get better. In 5 years you could see guys like St.Pierre looking like jobbers compared to the talent that will be around then. On top of that it will get more competetive and also I think the market will be shared among UFC and another organization or 2. There is gonna be so many fighters in the future that it wont work under just one organization. As long as no body dies in the ring I can't think of a realistic senerio that could hurt them. City members know that there's good money to be made in hosting events and it will start to appear less and less violent to the mainstream. Ufc still has huge markets in Europe and Asia that they have not yet targeted and that could revolutionize there current show structure dramatically. As for affliction though they really need to land some top UFC stars which I'm not sure how it will happen considering Dana White is well aware of that and is creating his contracts to protect himself from that kind of thing happening. One thing for sure though is that UFC has branded there name into MMA where the mainstream will call cage fighting UFC before they say MMA. Also UFC has so many big big fights on the table with or withour Fedor.
